Costs
- Each Subsea Engineering course has an associated graduate student fee. Please contact the Academic Advisor for details.
Waivers
- A GRE Waiver is possible if you meet the requirements. Please review the following link for further details concerning this GRE Waiver.
English Language Requirement
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) www.toefl.org The minimum TOEFL score required is 79 for the internet-based test, with a minimum writing score of 20. The minimum TOEFL score for the paper-based exam is 550, with a minimum writing score of 58. TOEFL scores must be received directly from Educational Testing Service (ETS). The University of Houston's ETS Institutional Code is 6870.
- IELTS (International English Language Testing Service) www.ielts.org The minimum IELTS score required is an overall score of a 6.5, with a minimum writing score of 6.5. The testing agency should mail the official results directly to the University of Houston. That address is as follows:

Transcripts
All graduate students are required to provide proof of the attainment of a Bachelor’s degree before enrolling at the University of Houston. Credential Evaluations are completed in house at the Graduate School, and outside evaluations will not be accepted.
International transcripts and degree certificates must be sent to the University of Houston Graduate School in envelopes sealed and stamped by the issuing university to be considered official.
